A couple of weeks ago I saw an interview with some arbiter of manners and
mores -- forgotten who -- who was saying just that. She said that with
people working long hours, bringing work home, and always being "on
the job" at the whim of a pager or cell phone, that the old stricture
on mixing work and romance was now obsolete.
