David, at 10:01 on May 13 1995, you wrote to Bill Grimsley...

DD> Hmmmmmm

Oh well, shit happens. |-)

DD>> I had this daft impression that some spoke "Cantonese",
DD>> some "Mandarin", "Mongolian" etc etc.

BG> See my message to Paul re this. It seems that more people
BG> speak Mandarin than any other language (and yes, I'm well
BG> aware of the various dialects, and can both greet Chinese
BG> people and swear at them in Mandarin AND Cantonese).

DD> Can you say "any chance of a root?"

Is that one of those trick questions where I say "any chance of a
root?", and you immediately offer me your pet sheep, by any chance?

Anyway, I can only tell them to fuck themselves, not me, and if you'd care
to test this theory, the next time you see a Cantonese-speaking Chinese,
say "chow hi", or if Mandarin-speaking, try "ta ni ni
da", or "ta ma da".

Then run like buggery! |-)

DD>> Some even speak "Lim"

BG> Of the highly obscure "Poe" dialect, presumably.

DD> Yeah, mainly spoken by abortionists according to Bob.

Who use the same tools, but in a different orifice.

Regards, Bill
