The 1 year-old shepherd that I'm trying to find a home for has a bark that
at times will turn into a wolf howl at the end.  Anyone know why that is?

That's a good dog.  We have a mini pinscher and a dachshund/chihuahua mix
in the yard who are very good watchdogs and bark only at strangers or
something that is amiss.  The thing that amazes me is how fast those two
small dogs can run.  You have to see it to believe it.
