Hello mike and listers,
While I have never heard Eyes on the Prize I would be willing to learn it,
and I am sure that other Federationists would learn it as welll. And the
same would be true concerning the Ode to Joy from Beethoven's Symphony
No. 9. In fact, a hymn entitled Joyful joyfull we adore thee has also
been set to this tune as was a popular song by Miguel Rios called Song of
Joy was on the pop charts during the early 1970's. The other side of the
single was the Spanish translation of the same song. Thje long and short
of it is that the tune has been around for quite a very long while and I
am sure that many Federationists would recognize the melody if they heard
it and since it is catchy they will have no trouble learning it. Anyway,
I am sure between all of us we will see to it that this will not remain an
unfinnished NFB Song and it could be the hit of the National Convention
along with any other new songs people can think of. Take care. Have a
good evening and a happy Easter.
Yours truly,
Peter Donahue
