Sorry for the big quote, but I thought I should keep this
together... Peter Campbell had mentioned this same procedure
to me and I only got a chance to try it out today. After the
above change, I attempted start with the Geos.bat and it hung
up with just the very initial text prompt showing in the upper
left of the screen. My version is 1.2.8.2. Maybe it's just
too old. Do you have any other suggestions? Part of why I
was fooling with it was that I'd heard of these issues and my
friend is ordering a new computer. I know I'll be the one
fiddling with it and thought I'd get a head start by getting
it to run on my machine. She's getting a 150 Pentium, but
she's accustomed to Geoworks for her weekly newsletter and it
would be nice if she could keep using it.
