Anyone here happen to know what the standard air wing for a 1950's
era Carrier was BEFORE the F-4 Phantom came on the scene? Or perhaps what
classes of carrier were used after WWII and up to the time the Kittyhawk and
Nimitz classes were launched? I have the air wings for the Kittyhawk and
Nimitz, but they came on the scene later then the Era I'm interested in.
My post-WWII history is weak in some areas, especially US military
aviation between the Korean conflict and Viet Nam. I'd like to rectify
this before the end of summer. :-)
Thanks!
Christopher
