Ever try shock treatments?
Tape a 20uf filter cap to the back of your headstock with two wires around 
the end where he normally bumps it.
Charge it up (your B+ supply should suffice) before you go on.  20uf 
shouldn't hurt him (much), and I'll guarantee that he'll get the message.
