adjustment.

One adjustment that I have found to be crucial with "progressives" is
what I call "tilt" - whether the lenses are tilted so they point
slightly upward or downward. Usually, when I get a pair of new glasses,
I find that the bottom edges of the frames touch my cheeks, or nearly
so. This means that I have to look downward at an uncomfortably steep
angle in order to use the close-up parts of the lenses. I correct this
by bending both arms of the frames slightly upward. This tilts the
lenses to point more upward, thereby moving the bottoms of the lenses
away from my cheeks, and allowing me to use the close-up areas easily.
