I have an R-4C in which the =
S Meter
does not read properly - the strongest signals push the meter to S-3 at =
most,
and this is with the meter sensitivity set to maximum.  The =
receiver
itself is plenty sensitive.  My rig has the Sherwood product =
detector and
audio amp mods installed.  When I got the rig a few years ago, I =
was told
the S meter did not work properly and it was related to the installation =
of one
of the mods.  Has anyone else heard of this issue with any of the =
Sherwood
mods and/or know the fix?  Perhaps a change in one of the resistor =
values
in the metering circuitry is called for?
