The references to Canine Classified and the credit lines should be kept with
the poems and essays if you post them somewhere else or send them to friends or
relatives.

Just fyi ... I was the owner, publisher, editor, general flunky, etc. of the
Canine Classified, a monthly regional canine newspaper I created for the local
show dog people (had 700+ paid subscribers at its peak in the mid-late 1980s)
and sent sample copies on a rotating basis to the local veterinarians which got
a lot of referrals for the breeder directory, rescue directory, and ads for dog
food, supplies, etc. and of course the clubs ads for their fun matches,
seminars, training classes, etc. generated the bulk of my ad income.  I
never made much money and when the Internet became popular in the mid 1990s it
started dropping. When I shut it down the profit was $300.00 for the entire
last year of publication. :-(
