BC> Below is the portion of my script that pertains to the QWK door.

LR> What do you use the dummy file for?
I use batch files to do housekeeping on my mail packet, capture, and
reply files. there is more than one dummy file. The dummy files are
renamed when the script is executes different portions of the script.
As an example one is renamed once I get online and another is renamed
if I send a reply packet. Then after the mail run is completed a batch
file can check for existence of the dummy file as renamed if it exist's
it means that process took place and there is a file to rename or move
or whatever. This is a way to branch to or skip parts of the batch
file.
I run Telix from a batch file and after the mail run is completed it
returns to the batch file and the house keeping takes place.
I use environmental variables for some of my batch work but there is
no way to set an environmental variable from a Telix script hence the
dummy file setup.
