      Have need for info. after a hard drive crash. -:(
     First:  init string for 288b (288i?) v34 fax modem.
          use Telix 3.21 (reg) and Quicklink 11 fax.
        The one you sent me about a year ago worked fine.
     #2: This is probably Telix --but - about a mouth ago started
        getting error msg. on d/l's from a bbs. "data sub packet
        to long".
     Was on the Hayes web site but could not find info I needed.
     Anyway it easyer to ask here. (g)
       Now the news you like to see/hear.
       Install this Hayes modem about a year ago.(new)
      Since day one have got 3100 to 3250 cps most of
      the time. D/l's from local bbs. Fax works fine.
       No problems with internet connections.
