I'm not so sure. Exchange has been for some time a "target
application" given the way that often it is (like in this case) the
single app which people want to keep. I have seen all sorts of comps
working on exchange replacements (inc exchange clients e.g. the Ximian
connector thingy for evolution).
Kroupware is one example, the HP & now samsung mail system is another.
Oh & IBM would be happy to sell you domino/notes for linux.
There is also the "Volution" thing but given that's a SCO/Caldera
product.....oh & then Suse have something called Openexchange but I've
never looked at it. Oh & then there is the Bynari InsightServer.
IMHO a lot of sites are moving/have moved towards Web based mail systems
anyway. Hotmail etc are now things people are used to a lot more than
Outlook.
