There's a text file/script in the tarball called 'configure'.  Go figure.

Add to that, the initial link to Sourceforge that I found came from a Google 
search that provided a link to some chatterer webforum, where a whiz proclaimed 
that he 'found the tarball, un-gzipped it, ran configure & make' and he had a 
new uncle Bob.

Why couldn't I?  Also?  ;)
