And there was godawful crap on Sci Fi *before* she took over.

Because no one watched them.

The trouble is that the only thing you have a vested interest in
with regard to the Sci Fi Channel is whether it's programming
that you consider worthwhile or appropriate for a channel claining
to be devoted to science fiction.

NBC-Universal doesn't see it that way. The only vested interest
they have in the programming is what gets viewers. They would
rather have crap shows that get a lot of viewers than excellent
shows that no one watches.

Hammer has increased the Sci Fi Channel's market share by leaps
and bounds. That's what they hired her to do, so to them she's
not only done her job, she's done it well.
