What's the problem with Ubuntu, exactly?

Ubuntu is actually part of the Debian family, along with Mint, Raspian and
several other distributions.

Another popular family is the Red Hat family, which includes CentOS and Fedora.

These days, I prefer Debian based distributions, though I still use CentOS as
well.

There's other families, like Slackware, Gentoo, Arch, but these are a diverse
lot and generally aimed at the more advanced Linux user.
