subject: Vet results, Saturday trip

Replying to a message of Jim White to Bob Ackley:

BA>> I don't think anybody gives the bones away anymore, they take them
BA>> out of the discard pile/container and package them just like any
BA>> other meat purchase - complete with weight and price.

JW> Sorry if I gave that impression. I think they call them soup bones or
JW> something like that!! This way they can charge you for them!

HyVee calls them 'marrow bones.' I'm reluctant to get those any more after one
of my labs managed to get one stuck around her lower jaw. It took about a $50 trip
to the vet to get it off (he had to put her under and saw through the bone while she
was asleep).
