* GEOWORKS is a general help conference providing update information,
support file information, & tips and tricks concerning the Geoworks
Ensemble/New Deal Office software package. Also permitted is the dis-
cussion of third-party developed software made for the GeoWorks pack-
age and the intergration of other software with GeoWorks.
These rules are put forth by the moderator of the Geoworks Conference
and are guidelines for conduct in the Echo. If you have any comments
for the moderator, please send them via Netmail to:

1. Please let the moderator moderate. If you see a message that you
believe to be off-topic, don't add to the thread by responding to it.
Instead, contact the moderator via NetMail.
2. Avoid overly annoying behavior. Think before you speak, what may
be perfectly fine to you may be annoying to others.
3. Avoid being easily annoyed.  Try not to be overly sensitive when
reading others comments.  Not everything you find annoying is annoy-
ing to others.
4. Keep messages on topic.  Messages covering other topics and pri-
vate messages should be sent via Netmail.
5. Do not make abusive or derogatory comments about others.  This
echo is for civilized, mature discussions related to the Geoworks
software systems. Messages will not be inflammatory or abusive
toward, or about, anyone, or anything.
  a. NO Profanity - think before you write - you can say it better.
     Do _not_ quote profanity.
6. Commercial advertising is prohibited in this echo.  New or up-
graded product information relating to Geoworks is allowable, but
don't make a commercial of it.
7. Gating of this echo to or from other networks, requires previous
authorization from the moderator.

8. The use of aliases is prohibited in this echo.  Your real name
must appear in the "FROM:" line or in the body of the message. If
you cannot use your real name, we don't wish to talk to you.
9. The quoting of a SMALL portion of the message you are replying
to is encouraged to establish the context of your reply.  However,
the quoting of large portions of messages is not necessary and it
only adds to the costs of your SysOps carrying this echo. Gentle
reminders may come in the form of a public message from the mod-
erator, for the express purpose of educating others, to get the
most "mileage". This may save the moderator from having to post
several NetMail messages, or wasting "bandwidth" with multiple
public posts.
 10. Out of consideration of those who pay long distance charges
to receive this echo, please keep your signatures to no more
than four lines. Tag lines should be no more than two lines,
maximum.
 11. The official language of this echo is English. If you need
to post in another language, please provide a translation, so
everyone in this echo is able to understand.
