No such thing. Fluids have very limited scope for compression. It is
always adviseable to lubricate a pump pnuematic in such a way that a
film of lubricant can keep the piston cool but it is detremental to the
guns performance and longievity if you lube in front of the piston or in
the intake port. That is a air intake hole. Don't confuse that with oil
intake. It'll kill a valve to get lubed excessively. The lever pivots
are the points that require the most diligence to make the gun last the
long haul. If an adequate amount of lubricant is applied to the three or
more lever hinge/friction points the guns piston will have received a
residual flow and the system stays happy. I like it when people hydro
their valve. It is very good for business. Some guns that have virtually
no real wear get hydroed all the time. The newer checks can take very
little of this abuse and in a lot of cases the older ones can't take
this abuse either(dans). So if you don't want to go to the airgun doctor
take your medicine in the correct place.
It is also important to keep your firearm lubricants completely separate
from the airgun lubes. They have little if anything in common with
airgun lubes and should be avoided. Many penetrating lubes have the
nerve to turn ordinary seals into a gum that can only be described as
useless for the purposes of holding pressure. So keep the stuff
somewhere where you won't be tempted to thrash your gun with it. Get
Crosman pellgunoil or my secret suace and feed that to the pump systems.
We give it to all the Steriod Streak customers and it seams to do the
trick. We give you a half a small bottle that is a lifetime supply.
Don't overdo. JUST DO./
