TW>> Didn't they ALL??
TR> There's a good chance that, in this guy's case, he may very well be
TR> innocent.
Yeup. Previously sentenced to death in 1988 by the Isreali, later
aquitted as someone else was identified as the guilty party...
TR> I seem to recall that this is the same guy who got arrested here many
TR> years ago, got extradited to Israel, and put on trial for supposedly
TR> being `Ivan The Terrible'!
1986
TR> And was acquitted by the Israeli Supreme Court, because someone else
TR> was identified as `Ivan The Terrible'!
1988
TR> Now...they're dragging him out of the US and into another foreign
TR> court, with new charges.
Trumped up, charges.
TR> The guy is in his 90's! He can barely get around without help, who
TR> knows how lucid his mind is anymore....
Or anyone else's who survived WW2 and still alive today.
TR> If this were happening in the US to someone who had been in the
TR> Weather Underground......A federal judge somewhere would find a
TR> reason to toss it out of court!
Yeup.
TR> A person who was an urban terrorist who aided and abetted in the
TR> bombing of public places around thirty or so years ago, and is today
TR> completely unrepentant, gets made a college professor!
Yeup.
TR> A guy in his nineties who can barely walk....who has already been
TR> dragged out of the country to a foreign nation, and put on trial for
TR> his life once...now gets dragged out to another foreign country to go
TR> through the same crap!
Kinda like 'double jeopardy' except the places where it supposedly
happened have changed.
TR> And by the way........this guy is in his nineties....how good could
TR> his mind be? Which brings up a real big question:
TR> How good could the minds of any `eye witnesses' that will testify
TR> against him be?
Exactly...circumstantial evidence not withstanding, who's left to believe
or disbelieve?
