That's not true. pmmerge.dl_ is divided in a few disks. On Fix#8 (I'm sure
'cause I had the same exact problem you're having when installang Fix #8 at my 
office-computer) for example is both on Disk #1 and both on disk #8 (and maybe 
#10).

Redownload _ALL_ the fixpack.

You can even unpack the Disks with one of the newset unpacking utilities that 
_do_ control the CRC of the disk.
