I ran MBSE on a Raspberry for some time. When I found out that UTF8 was
supported, I did a minor trial. My impression was that Michiel Broek did
a good job, but lacking users/testers still had some debugging to do.

I do not know when he implemented utf8 and ipv6, but to me they were like
easter eggs. When I enabled ipv6 on system , only expecting ipv6 connections
with Wilfred, I noticed that I connection to Michiel Broek were also made
using Ipv6. Later, long after Michie had left Fidonet, I found that there
was also support for Utf8. Due to his knowledge from day job, he was far
 ahead of all of us.
