-> I'm the same way. One of the problems getting used to these lenses is cause
-> by poor fitting. The lenses can be raised or lowered by moving the nose pad
-> in or out, respectively. This is critical for those of us who have a lot of
-> trouble getting used to these lenses. If the positive part of the lens
-> interferes with a level line of sight, I get a headache. Moving the nose pa
-> apart just a millimeter or less lowers the lenses, relieving the effect. Of
-> course, if the lenses were cut improperly, this adjustment must be made to t
-> large an extent. In that case, return to the place where they were bought a
-> they'll have to cut you some new ones.

I find that angles are at least as important as positions. My first
pair of multifocals almost touched my face at the bottom. I was very
uncomfortable trying to look downward steeply enough that I could see
close-up. I figured that it would be better if my ears were a few
millimetres lower, so the glasses wouldn't be tipped forward as much.
Rather than having surgery, I just bent the arms of the glasses
upwards, which produced the same effect. After that, the glasses worked
very well.

The general point is that, even though a new pair of glasses may have
just cost several hundred dollars, you *must* be prepared to bend them
about to find the best set-up. Often, you will find it only after a
fair amount of trial and error.
