-> Err... it might be hard to find any kind of shade which puts you -> into night-light mode in broad daylight - and still allows you to -> see where you're going usefully... The polarizing magnet-ons that came with my prescription glasses seem to help a lot with the transition from bright to dim light. The place where I go is illuminated about as brightly as outdoors at night, with streetlights etc.. If I go there at night, I can walk in and not notice any significant change in brightness. But if I go in there on a sunny day, without using shades, I am essentially blind for quite a few minutes. I walk into things, and so on. But the shades (or the act of removing them) do help a lot. I won't say that I have perfect vision when I go inside and take them off, but it is good enough for me to function reasonably well. -> Glad to hear that - drops in peripheral vision can indicate the -> outset of glaucoma, I seem to recall... I know a lot about glaucoma!
