BK>> FDR's failure was not the New Deal, but in going conservative in
BK>> the middle of the depression, and backing off from the New Deal.

BK>> The New Deal was working, and FDR was persuaded to cut it back
BK>> because it might cause inflation, with the end result much of
BK>> the gains were lost. Going from 25% unemployment to 15% in a
BK>> couple years was a pretty good improvement. However, it was not
BK>> enough and he should not have kept things going more to bring it
BK>> up further before cutting back.

TW> Well he was in FACT very UNCONSERVIATIVE. And the FACT that
TW> he Stalled the Recovery by an IDIOTIC TAX raise making the
TW> TAXES on Income over a specified amount 100% is the perfect
 TW> example.

Oh? When did he make taxes 100%?

As to the rest, read the damn articles. The Fed squeezed
liquidty, and FDR went conservative, both to try to stop
inflation. If he had stuck with his New Deal he would have
reduced the unemployment rate a lot more.

 Start with snipurl.com/fdr1938

TW> TAX THE RICH!!! Heard that one lately

Bout time. Too many tax cuts aimed at the rich. Too many
republicans lying about the rich paying most of the taxes.

TW> And as for what he did accidently that worked was ONLY

The New Deal was just the first in a line of cures for economic
 downturns that has worked consistently.

TW> Temporary. Having GOVERMENT do everything is Stupid and has

Your straw many is identified and dismissed as irrelevant.

TW> NEVER solved a problem. After the "Project" was over
TW> everythiong disappeared and left nothing behind except for
TW> a Building, PARK OR WHATEVER for HIM to get his picture
TW> takEn in front OF. NO Company, No employes NOTHING. ALL

Uh... now you are demanding the govt go socialist? The project
left behind a lot of people who had work. They went on to the
next project. As unemployment declined fewer people needed work.

As to your absurd claim there was no company no employees,
nothing, read the article snipurl.com/fdr1938. The economy had
started growing and business had started expanding again. The
whole idea of the New Deal was to put money into the pockets of
the workers to support themselves and their families, and to
keep things going so business could recover. That it did rather
 well.

TW> those that were Unemployed before the project were
 TW> unemployed again.

And that is an absurd assumption on your part. Just like saying,
in the best economic times, a construction worker who is
unemployed before he is hired to build an office complex, is
unemployed again after the complex is finished. Maybe he is, but
if times are good it's for a short time. When times are bad that
job kept his family going until they turn good again.

You really need to think this through. When unemployment fell
from 25% to 15% a lot of people who were unemployed before were
 not unemployed afterwards.
