KB>>Hello world!
Hello Kolja! I'm so very glad to meet you.
KB>>I am 19 years old and in June I passed my last exam at school (after 13
KB>>years of school) with a "very good" mark. My "Leistungskurse", that are
KB>>courses that you choose in the last 3 years of your school "career"and
KB>>that you will be taught twice as often as all the other ones, were
KB>>mathmatics and physics.
KB>>On Monday, I will begin my "Zivildienst" (which can be translated as
ivil
KB>>service) that I do as a conscientious objector instead of joining the
KB>>army.
KB>>After this service I want to go to university to study physics (diploma).
It sounds like you have been working very hard and have made great plans
for your future.
KB>>Perhaps you already know my name from one of my programs and utilities:
KB>>I programmed _FontID_, a program to put an end to all the font-id related
KB>>problems. Maybe that you had a look at NUTIL, a small utility to edit the
KB>>name and the note of a GEOS document form DOS. And there are quite a lot
KB>>more small programs...
I have used FontID a lot, however, I have not seen NUTIL available here.
What other programs have you written?
KB>>Perhaps you also recognized my font viewer program called GeoFontlist. It
KB>>is my first program that runs under Ensemble. It lists ball fonts that
re
KB>>installed on the specific system in a scrolable list.
This is another one that I have not seen.
KB>>At the moment I am working on more GEOS-programs which directly work in
KB>>the Ensemble environnment. I will inform you if there is anything new...
Great! Keep us posted.
KB>>If you have any idea for a new program or if you have questions, please
KB>>let me know!
Now let me see....you seem to work on a lot of font utility type
programs and I do a lot of work converting fonts to the Geos format.
You're just the person I want to talk to!:) You might have seen my cd
disk offer with 3400 different Geos fonts.
Here are some of the things I would like to see...
FontID with the capability of sorting the files by font name or by ID#
A utility that will list the fonts that were used in the creation of a
document. The reason for this idea is because I sometimes design
programs that have numerous advertisements in them that I have also
designed. I use different fonts that I don't always normally use and
some of them end up getting deleted. Several months later, I go back to
the document to edit it for a new program and find the system font
substituted in different ads. I can't always remember which fonts I
used and of course the advertisers want the exact same ad.:)
How about a Nimbus Q font converter that will operate in ver 2.0? If I
had this, I could delete ver 1.2 off my hard drive.
Let us hear from you soon.
Terri
