Please, leave your dirtbag congressman out of this discussion! 

But seriously, to believe that the there are only "liberals" and
"conservatives"
(whatever those terms mean) is a serious flaw in one's thinking.  Individuals are a
lot more complex than that.  You have Republican women voting for
Democratic candidates because of their stand on abortion.  You have fiscal
conservatives and
social liberals wrapped up in one person.  You even have persons who are
"liberal"
on some social issues and conservative on others.
