RT> I use now on this moment EleBBS,
Ele is a RA clone ;)
RT> but i found that there is a bug with the telnet connection and
RT> the door.sys or dorinfo.def when a user connects with the
RT> internal telnet server from EleBBS then i give a connection of
RT> 6550 baud in the door.sys or dorinfo.def
that is not a valid baud rate... is this using a FOSSIL or no?
FWIW: the valid baud rates are...
110, 300, 600, 1200, 2400, 4800, 9600, 14400,
19200, 28800, 38400, 56000, 57600, 115200
some serial ports support these higher rates
128000, 153600, 230400, 256000, 460800, 921600
but they are no valid for our old school BBS operations... in fact, locking
a serial port to 115200 in one FOSSIL driver requires one to use 11520
because the baud rate speed value is stored in a word (0..65535)...
you should not "float" your serial connection... you should run
it with a "locked" port rate and then let the (virtual) modem
handle the actual connect rate with the remote on its own while talking to
the local "port" at one specific rate...
RT> and there are some doors that then not work, becoss the not
RT> correct baud rate it give out in the door file.
i don't doubt they won't work with an invalid baud rate like that...
RT> I had a official key for the QWK mail door of coder from Wildcat
RT> BBS and try to install it and it works but not with that baud
RT> rate, and the only door that i found then was that from Cutting
RT> Edge...
that's weird... unless there's a locked port rate setting...
RT> But it is oke i will be use it unregistered, i dont have many user
RT> that will use the QWK Mail door it is just that i support it on
RT> the BBS ;)
ok...
