Joe Barr posts non-Linux related propaganda here regularly. Maybe =
like many others you don't pay attention to his posts. See =
news://news.barkto.com/pan.2003.06.17.16.08.01.246247{at}austin.rr.com and =
news://news.barkto.com/pan.2003.06.17.22.51.01.264892{at}austin.rr.com for =
recent examples. Just because this group is named linuxhelp has not =
prevented Joe Barr from posting material that is neither related to = linux
nor helpful.

In his post earlier in this thread, it's not like Joe did not choose =
exactly what portions of the article to quote and what to exclude. I =
don't know why he excluded the relavant bit about it targeting linux. I =
clarified his incomplete quote and pointed out an inaccuracy. Why do = you
have a problem with that? Shouldn't you be more concerned with his = post
being inaccurate and misleading?

I use HTML for some of the same reasons that the web is primarily =
HTML. It's expressive. I used it to indent the quoted text in my first =
message. Are you having problems because your newsreader, KNode, is not =
standards compliant and displays the raw text of the message instead of =
just the text part? In the messages you post KNode claims to be MIME =
compliant. Maybe it doesn't know how to display the more expressive = HTML
part.

If Joe had posted this in the nthelp group, you might have a point. =
Since=20
it is posted here I understood that it was about a Linux trojan.

I also understood the window size reference as referring to the tcp/ip =

window size. I don't think most trojan programs would affect or even =
have a=20
  "window size".

  Nice try though.

I agree with the previous poster that your pointless use of HTML in a=20
newsgroup is very rude (unless you can't figure out how to turn it =
off). It=20
adds nothing to the informational content and bloats your messages. =
Kind of=20
like a lot of the "features" in Microsoft's apps and OSs.

  Why do you use HTML?

  Brian
