Apparently Saddam boasted to Farouk Qaddumi of the PLO that Iraq [was]
ready to bombard Israel for six continuous months with artillery from
land & sea. Boasting against Israel is not a good career move!

Yes, & Saddam possibly brought that curse upon himself & his land, even
if the Coalition had other intentions in mind.
