Follow the news today, as I believe today there will be an announcement
of the next attack on gun owners, coming either from the White House or
HCI (what's the difference?)
As to your opinion that it seems pretty reasonable to you; you have a
right to your opinion.  My opinion is that there is little reason in any
gun control.  Put people in prison for committing acts of violence NO
MATTER HOW they are committed, with or without guns, and guns won't be
an issue.
