Ah, but this a'int the same old Rangers as we have all known. These
guys have something going for them that hasn't been here in a long
time. Chemistry!! It was never allowed to come to the surface when
Valentine or Kennedy was here at the reins. Look at what is happening
in Boston, now. Yeah, they have sustained a lot of injury, but there
is something else wrong with that club. Kennedy hasn't a clue how to
get the best out of the talent he has. Look at how Seattle has played
since Jr and Johnson have gone down. Look how the Rangers played when
Gonzales and Clark were down.
As far as the Angel collapse of last year, they had nobody to blame
but themselves. Does not mean it will happen to the Rangers. And if it
does, oh well. But it sure is great seeing 40000 in the stands this
close to NFL training camp time. Even the talk shows are a buzz over
the Rangers. Time was, not so very long ago, that all you heard from
anyone was football around here, even in the thick of baseball season.
Be glad for all of us that are here that this place is slowly turning
into a real major league baseball town. That can only be good for the
Great Game.
