DOS protocols don't work well with OS/2 due to timing differences.  Then
again, if you've never used OS/2, you wouldn't know that. :)  There is a
protocol called P for OS/2 that rips a hole in everything (I've gotten
60k/s out of P under OS/2 and faster on bigger pipes).  However, I've no
interest in switching anything at this time.  The user switched his term
program and all is fine now.
