"Seinfeld" didn't go as well as predicted... though everybody has
differing opinions of it.
NBC had hoped that the final "Seinfeld" episode would be seen
by 160 million people (saw that on the news somewhere)... but the actual
viewership for the "Sein-off" was only 76 million. In contrast, "Cheers"
had an audience of 80 million for its final episode, while "M*A*S*H"
still tops the list with 106 million for its final show.
Must be why NBC is showing the final "Seinfeld" ep again...
In the new movie ~Armageddon~ (just saw the first ad for it
tonight, which didn't look all that interesting to me), I noticed
that Gale Anne Hurd is co-producing... I don't really pay all that
much attention to the crew portion of the credits, so I don't know
how well she's been doing since her masterful big screen debut at the
reins of ~The Terminator~ (or was that ~Alien~?).
Anybody out there have any info on her?
ABC is starting its summer season a bit early - they're going
to try again with the show "C-16", this Thursday at 8. It was originally
on Saturdays at 8, with Eric Roberts as the main character... as far
as I know, it was killed because of bad ratings, so this looks like
their attempt to get it up and running again.
"C-16" was okay, but I hope they don't try and revive "Total
Security"... though I've noticed that whats-his-name (the lead from
"Total Security", and I don't mean Belushi) is doing voice-overs in
car commercials now.
James Remar! That's the guy... I always remember him from his role as
"Ajax" in ~The Warriors~...
