Hello Ann, I am happy that you went that extra mile and learned about the 
directories! You seem to have found a major clue and you are probably 
absolutely correct about Ames being his middle rather than his last name. It 
could not hurt to ask the judge maybe she can give you a different avenue in 
which to look. One more thing you need to look in the back of the directories 
for the street that the house was on that they lived in. It may tell you who 
owned the house which in turn will give you another lead especially if they 
are living. Plus in that info that you saw did it give any information about 
other children living there or occupations of the occupants? I would say you 
found a Giant piece of info that now we can start adding to. Keep me advised
