It appears to be the implication of the ATT Unix licence that it does have
rights to others code.

(It's exactly like the GPL in that respect.... I wonder where Stallman got
the idea from?)

BSD is different, and was settled legally back in 1994.

BSD cannot incorporate GPL'd code, (although real BSD distributions
obviously include GPL code), so the avenues for attacking BSD for including
code that emanated from Unix licence holders are reduced.

Time will tell.
