Number of servers isn't what keeps you busy, number of websites is what
keeps you busy. It's the sites that are like the plates on the end of those
tall sticks that you have to keep running around to make sure they stay
spinning. Someone's domain expires because they didn't pay netsol, they
blame the ISP web server. Someone tries to put a form on their website and
typos the email address to send to and its the ISP's web server that's
broke. Someone creates a web page in MSWord and it takes minutes to load
the 30 2mb TIF images they used for icons and it's the ISP's web server
that's slow.

Tracking down "server" problems like this is what fills an
admin's day.. The techs are useless, they go to the website and it takes
minutes to load half a gig of images resized to postage stamp size and they
go "it sure looks like a server problem to me".

Hell I just had some lady telling me my mail server is filtering out her
valid email, she tried to open a paypal account and they sent the email 6
times but she never got it. I had to point out to her the correct spelling
of her email address. And unlike Exchange, NTmail doesn't max out at 3000
users so I'm running the one big server senario..

Geo. (pardon my attitude but I live the admin role every day)
