Extremely good compiler (very fast, 36000 lines/minute on a 386-20),
many new features (like array handling, string manipulation, etc), easy
TSRs (6 lines of code, very flexible), new data types, unlimited ram
usage (can use ALL conventional ram for data/code), inline assembler,
lots of metacommands for things like version control and conditional
compilation, control over target CPU (8088/286/386), link libraries, FPU
emulation or optimized procedural library, etc. Much better than QB, and
it produces fast, tight code.
Anyway:
       PowerBASIC Inc.
       316 Mid Valley Center
       Carmel, CA 93923
       1-800-780-7707 or (408)659-8000

Also, PB/XTRA is a disk set they sell that offers something like 35MB of
source code and utilities. It does EVERYTHING.
Another company I'll plug is DSE. They make an incredible interface
library (PB/VISION) and a workshop program to lay out your screens. This
does windowing, all sorts of interface gadgets (like list boxs, combo
boxes, check boxes, etc), multithreading, lets your software be event
driven, etc. They also toss in a lot of utility routines for things like
reading ini files and file handling (date/time, etc). They're at
(707)459-4358. Highly reccommended.
... Whoever said "talk is cheap" never used Compuserve!
