PMFJI...if you already have a word processing package, check it out a
little more--you may be able to do columns, graphics, etc., that would
suffice without a lot of outlay of funds.
Whatever you do, don't bother with any of the shareware programs that
purport to be desktop publishing. For chump change more you can get
something like Microsoft Publisher, which has a lot more flexibility, will
import files from a wide range of text editing programs, and will output to
practically anything. I paid $89 for mine, and it's been worth it.
The advice you got on the printer is valid. For anything other than in
house use at least get one of the cheap inkjet printers. LexMark makes 'em
for less than $300 that will do 300 dpi resolution.
