Hi Bill,
    I'll take a quick shot at it.  Sounds like maybe you've bumped at
least 1 of the small adj. pots on the inside rt front.  Did you change the
dial lamp recently?  Set them back up per the svc manual & it'll probably
sound right.  Might even just be the 10v line adj., you haveta do it
first, so if it's off, you might not need to go farther.  If you don't
have the manual info, let me know, I'll either scan a pg or 2 for you, or
there've been a cupla posts on the procedure on the list in the past, I
may have saved them.
    (You've maybe heard something like this already in a  private post,
I'm a few hrs late.)

My TR 7 has a different sound on USB and LSB on receive.  It sounds tinny
and USB and muddy on LSB.  I've been told the TX audio is muddy on LSB but
that may just be the mike which is the stock Drake desk mike.

Any ideas?  Maybe a filter problem?
