I agree that reason has not been sufficient for *most* people,
who, for one reason or another, do not think well. But, that is
not to say that it cannot, as Aristotle provides an example.

Part of the 'data' that Aristotle had was the plays of Sophocles
and the writings of Homer, and the poems of Sappho. Part of the
extension of Moore's law is seen in the hype about MMX and all the
virtual reality stuff developing, which teach *allegorically*. At
some point, I expect to have the plays of Sophocles on this screen
in front of me now, but unlike the TV, I can back it up, or stop
the action at will for annotated information, say, Aristotle's.

I do knot know that we will all reach compleat agreement, just am
saying that is the trend of development, which agreed, has a long
way to go. I just do not know that it won't get there.

There is considerable historical and anthropologic evidence to
show that values are changed over time by adjustments to the real
changes in the social and physical enviornment. As the world is
well on the way to becoming homogeneous, I would expect that value
system which is in the most concurrance with those conditions will
be adopted.
