HF> Speaking of romance without sex, have you ever read any Patricia
HF> Wentworth?
BQ> No, but will look her up on the computer and check it out.
PF> You've got me curious, so I have to ask. Look her up on
PF> the computer? Where? Is there a reference guide of some
PF> kind that's available to the public? Or even a "book
PF> review"?
(In between sips of Coffee Flavored Postum, Bert answered Patsy's question)
Here in the Portland area, the public (who, after all pays for it) has
general, albeit limited, access to Public Library records. In this
particular instance, I was suggesting a check of the author's name in order
to determine what she has written and a brief description of each works.
It is also possible to search her name through an Internet connection in
order to get a bit of personal information. We are blessed with a very
complete and informative library system in our area, although it costs us
about $300.00 a year, added onto an already heavy tax burden. Oregon is
referred to nationally as a "Tax Hell State". Mostly, people do not
complain about the costs of this type of service as it serves anyone with a
curious mind. That just about takes care of the entire population.

Hmmmm. Been in a lot of places in Louisiana, but Bush apparently wasn't one
of them. Can't locate it in our Atlas. What major city is it near?

Bert
