During a brief burst of sanity Ray Madison supposidly typed the following:

Maybe in your part of the world. If I call someone on my cell phone, it
comes up on the receivers Caller ID box as "Private Number" (ie, blocked.)
If I call someone with but add *82 before the number, (ie, *825551212) my
actual cell phone number will show on Caller ID.
I subscribe to the A side carrier in Canada, "Cantel AT&T" formerly
Rogers Cantel.
