I'd like to jumping in for just a moment.
Netware/IP can eliminate IPX from a network, but it does not provide 
connectivity to generic IP workstations.
To use Netware/IP, the clients must be using one of Novell's supported client 
stacks (VLM, Client 32 for Windows 95 or NT) and have IPX bound to IP.
With this step, IPX continues to be the protocol to the workstations.
