you do not use eleserv with the nix version.  The telnet (or
ssh/rlogon etc) is handled by the telnet dameon built into linux.  It
then passes the connection directly to elebbs.  Windows can not
internaly handle telnet connection and therefor needs a telnet server.
*nix has had one since the late 70's, Why re-invent the wheel.

I'm running it on my bbs. now.  The server does handle lots of other
aspects besides bbs. so there is a dual login,. you will see if you
login.

If you logon to unix system as BBS then it will pass you to elebbs.
Then enter your bbs name and password.  If you use ssh (secure telnet)
you can setup rsa authentiation keys that will allow you to skip the
first log on.
