-=> Quoting Fred Reich to Michael Holt <=-
MH> The problem I'd found was that when using the address book, the
MH> software would use the 'alias' as the e-mail address if there was
MH> anything in the 'alias' field. This, of course, limites the value of
MH> the 'alias' field; I think it should have been called a 'notes' field.
FR> I guess that's why I never fill in the "alias" part.
The "alias" may be in the "To:" field, but when the e-mail
is sent JUNO replaces it with the corresponding e-mail
address.
MH> Ever defrag your hard drive after using Juno? I suspected that
MH> fragmentation might be a problem, so I tried that one night. After
MH> doing it, Juno sped up noticeably. But it's still a lot slower than
MH> it was.
FR> I defrag my hard drive about once a month, but I don't think the Juno
FR> files are that big to make any difference.
It's not the size, it's if they are spread all over the
disk. Are you JUST defragging, or are you defragging with
directory and file sort? (Grouping all files, for a
directory, together on the HD.)
