JL> I sure did go to Westover. The flying at CEF was the best of any
JL> of the air shows I went to this summer. But, oh!!! the crowd!!
JL> Unbelievable. Only TBird freq I caught action on was 141.85.
About 90 % of the Thunderbirds activity was on 120.450. Excellent
show ,huh? I liked the B1 bomber and the C5s.Too bad it took two hours
to get out of the parking lot.
JL> As for the freqs the C-130s might be up on, do you have any idea
JL> where they're from? NY ANG? USCG? Do you hear Boston center
JL> working them at any point in time? Remember, too, that if they're
JL> ANG aircraft, these guys love to hang out in the 137-144 MHz range
JL> for tactical stuff. So don't overlook that area. AM mode.
I'm Not sure were the C-130's are based out of. By the time I hear them
flying over the house there gone.... I'll try the 137 range and see
what happens. I'm guessing they are eithier from Quonset,RI or New York
somewhere... maybe Westhampton.
