       I went to the sister store of Long & McQuade (the Music Den) and got 
that same arguement from the salesman. Said that Peavey blasts the crap out 
of Fender in tone and construction quality. And he said he only plays clean, 
too! Fender's clean channels smoke Peaveys!
       He actually told me that he doesn't like that nice SRV blues crunch... 
How could a man not appreciate a master's tone like SRV's?
       If I were to buy a Fender copy instead of the real thing, I'd go with 
Carvin first, Crate Vintage Club, and (after several other brands) then 
Peavey.
       However, I do have to appreciate Hartley Peavey. Have any of you seen 
the packaging on Peavey cables lately? Apparently part of the money coming 
from the purchase of Peavey cables is going towards a fund for abused and 
neglected children.
