Mmm - or with malice;  hast not seen those `highlights from 
insurance claims' alleging that trees, poles and other roadside 
fixtures stepped out in front of vehicles without warning ?

I have an acquaintance who still insists 40 years on that this 
stanchion malicously sandbagged her car from behind...
