I was wondering when something like this would crop up. My guess is that
the speed with which SCO went for this & the massive stakes (i.e 1
billion from IBM (not a comp you would wish to sue unless desparate) made
me wonder.

What would be humorous is if it turns out MS paid cash to SCO to licence
code they (SCO) had ripped from the GPL.
